2Abraham was the father of Isaac.

Isaac was the father of Jacob.

Jacob was the father of Judah and his brothers.1:2 Judah was one of the 12 sons of Jacob. Judah became the name of the Israelite tribe who were his descendants. Jesus belonged to the tribe of Judah.
