1 Corinthians 13:1

1If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal.

1If I speak with the tongues of mankind and of angels, but do not have love, I have become a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal.

1If I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love [for others growing out of God’s love for me], then I have become only a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal [just an annoying distraction].

1If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am only a ringing gong or a clanging cymbal.

1If I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am become sounding brass, or a clanging cymbal.

1Though I speake with the tongues of men and Angels, and haue not loue, I am as sounding brasse, or a tinkling cymbal.

1If I speak with the languages of men and of angels, but don’t have love, I have become sounding brass or a clanging cymbal.

1Suppose I speak in the languages of human beings or of angels. If I don’t have love, I am only a loud gong or a noisy cymbal.

1I may be able to speak many different languages that people or angels speak. But that is worth nothing if I do not love other people. I would only be making a loud noise, like someone who hits a metal cymbal.

1If I speak with the tongues of men and of messengers, and do not have love, I have become sounding brass, or a clanging cymbal;
