1 Corinthians 3:1

1Brothers and sisters, I could not address you as people who live by the Spirit but as people who are still worldly—mere infants in Christ.

1And I, brothers and sisters, could not speak to you as spiritual people, but only as fleshly, as to infants in Christ.

1However, brothers and sisters, I could not talk to you as to spiritual people, but [only] as to worldly people [dominated by human nature], mere infants [in the new life] in Christ!

1Brothers, I could not address you as spiritual, but as worldly — as infants in Christ.

1And I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal, as unto babes in Christ.

1And I could not speake vnto you, brethren, as vnto spirituall men, but as vnto carnall, euen as vnto babes in Christ.

1Brothers, I couldn’t speak to you as to spiritual, but as to fleshly, as to babies in Christ.

1Brothers and sisters, I couldn’t speak to you as people who live by the Holy Spirit. I had to speak to you as people who were still following the ways of the world. You aren’t growing as Christ wants you to. You are still like babies.

1My Christian friends, I could not teach you as I would teach people who have God's Spirit with them. Instead, I had to teach you as people who belong to this world. You were like little children who could not understand the message about Christ very well.

1And I, brothers, was not able to speak to you as to spiritual, but as to fleshly—as to babies in Christ;
