1 Corinthians 3:1

1Brothers and sisters, I could not address you as people who live by the Spirit but as people who are still worldly—mere infants in Christ.

1And I, brothers and sisters, could not speak to you as spiritual people, but only as fleshly, as to infants in Christ.

1And I, brethren, could not speak to you as to spiritual men, but as to men of flesh, as to infants in Christ.

1However, brothers and sisters, I could not talk to you as to spiritual people, but [only] as to 3:1 Lit fleshly.worldly people [dominated by human nature], mere infants [in the new life] in Christ!

1Brothers, I could not address you as spiritual, but as worldly — as infants in Christ.

1Brothers and sisters, I couldn’t speak to you as people who live by the Holy Spirit. I had to speak to you as people who were still following the ways of the world. You aren’t growing as Christ wants you to. You are still like babies.
