1 Corinthians 7:35

35I am saying this for your own good, not to restrict you, but that you may live in a right way in undivided devotion to the Lord.

35And this I speake for your owne commoditie, not to tangle you in a snare, but that yee follow that, which is honest, and that yee may cleaue fast vnto the Lord without separation.

35I’m saying those things for your own good. I’m not trying to hold you back. I want you to be free to live in a way that is right. I want you to give yourselves completely to the Lord.

35I am saying this because I want to help you. I am not making rules that you have to obey. Instead, I want you to live in a right way. I do not want you to worry about anything. Then you will be able to serve the Lord very well.

35And this I say for your own profit: not that I may cast a noose on you, but for the seemliness and devotedness to the Lord, undistractedly,
