1 Corinthians 8:1

1Now about food sacrificed to idols: We know that “We all possess knowledge.” But knowledge puffs up while love builds up.

1Now concerning food sacrificed to idols, we know that we all have knowledge. Knowledge 8:1 Lit puffs upmakes one conceited, but love edifies people.

1Now about food sacrificed to idols, we know that we all have knowledge [concerning this]. Knowledge [alone] makes [people self-righteously] arrogant, but love [that unselfishly seeks the best for others] builds up and encourages others to grow [in wisdom].
