1 Corinthians 8:4

4So then, about eating food sacrificed to idols: We know that “An idol is nothing at all in the world” and that “There is no God but one.”

4Therefore, concerning the eating of food sacrificed to idols, we know that an idol is 8:4 I.e., what it represents does not existnothing at all in the world, and that there is no God but one.

4Therefore concerning the eating of things sacrificed to idols, we know that Lit nothing is an idol in the world; i.e. an idol has no real existencethere is no such thing as an idol in the world, and that there is no God but one.
