21Otherwise, as soon as my lord the king is laid to rest with his ancestors, I and my son Solomon will be treated as criminals.”

21Otherwise it will come about, as soon as my lord the king sleeps with his fathers, that I and my son Solomon will be considered offenders.”

21Otherwise it will come about when my lord the king lies down [in death] with his fathers, that I and my son Solomon will be considered 1:21 Lit sinners.political enemies.”

21Otherwise, when my lord the king rests with his fathers, I and my son Solomon will be counted as criminals.”

21If you don’t do something, I and my son Solomon will be treated like people who have committed crimes. That will happen as soon as you join the members of your family who have already died.”
