1 Kings 3:2

2The people, however, were still sacrificing at the high places, because a temple had not yet been built for the Name of the Lord.

2The people were still sacrificing on the high places, because there was no house built for the name of the Lord until those days.

2But [in the meantime] the people were still sacrificing [to God] on the high places (hilltops) [as the pagans did to their idols], for there was no [permanent] house yet built for the Name of the Lord.

2The people, however, were still sacrificing on the high places because a house for the Name of the Lord had not yet been built.

2Only the people sacrificed in the high places, because there was no house built for the name of Jehovah until those days.

2Only the people sacrificed in the hie places, because there was no house buylt vnto the name of the Lord, vntill those dayes.

2However, the people sacrificed in the high places, because there was not yet a house built for Yahweh’s name.

2But the people continued to offer sacrifices at the high places where they worshiped. That’s because a temple hadn’t been built yet where the Lord would put his Name.

2Because there was not yet a temple where people could give honour to the Lord, they offered sacrifices at altars in other places.

2Only, the people are sacrificing in high places, for there has not been built a house for the Name of YHWH until those days.
