1 Peter 2:4

4As you come to him, the living Stone—rejected by humans but chosen by God and precious to him—

4And coming to Him as to a living stone which has been rejected by people, but is 2:4 Lit chosen; or electchoice and precious in the sight of God,

4And coming to Him as to a living stone which has been rejected by men, but is choice and precious in the sight of God,

4Come to Him [the risen Lord] as to a living Stone which men rejected and threw away, but which is choice and precious in the sight of God. [Ps 118:22; Is 28:16]

4As you come to Him, the living stone, rejected by men but chosen and precious in God’s sight,

4Christ is the living Stone. People did not accept him, but God chose him. God places the highest value on him.
