1 Peter 3:14

14But even if you should suffer for what is right, you are blessed. “Do not fear their threats3:14 Or fear what they fear; do not be frightened.”3:14 Isaiah 8:12

14But even if you should suffer for the sake of righteousness [though it is not certain that you will], you are still blessed [happy, to be admired and favored by God]. Do not be afraid of their intimidating threats, nor be troubled or disturbed [by their opposition].

14But even if you should suffer for what is right, you are blessed. “Do not fear what they fear; do not be shaken.”3:14 Or “Do not fear their threats; do not be shaken.”Isaiah 8:12

14But suppose you do suffer for doing what is right. Even then you will be blessed. Scripture says, “Don’t fear what others say they will do to hurt you. Don’t be afraid.” (Isaiah 8:12)
