1 Samuel 19:6

6Saul listened to Jonathan and took this oath: “As surely as the Lord lives, David will not be put to death.”

6Saul listened to the voice of Jonathan, and Saul vowed, “As the Lord lives, David shall not be put to death.”

6Saul listened to Jonathan and swore [an oath], “As the Lord lives, he shall not be put to death.”

6And Saul hearkened unto the voice of Jonathan: and Saul sware, As Jehovah liveth, he shall not be put to death.

6Then Saul hearkened vnto the voyce of Ionathan, and Saul sware, As the Lord liueth, he shall not dye.

6Saul listened to the voice of Jonathan; and Saul swore, “As Yahweh lives, he shall not be put to death.”

6Saul paid attention to Jonathan. Saul made a promise. He said, “You can be sure that the Lord lives. And you can be just as sure that David will not be put to death.”

6Saul agreed with Jonathan. He made a promise in the Lord's name that he would not kill David.

6And Saul listens to the voice of Jonathan, and Saul swears, “YHWH lives—he does not die.”
