1 Samuel 22:18

18The king then ordered Doeg, “You turn and strike down the priests.” So Doeg the Edomite turned and struck them down. That day he killed eighty-five men who wore the linen ephod.

18Then the king said to Doeg, “You, turn around and 22:18 Lit fall uponattack the priests!” And Doeg the Edomite turned around and 22:18 Lit fell uponattacked the priests, and he killed on that day eighty-five men who wore the linen ephod.

18Then the king said to Doeg, “You turn around and attack the priests.” And Doeg the Edomite turned around and attacked the priests, and he killed that day eighty-five men who wore the linen ephod.

18So the king said to Doeg, “You turn around and attack the priests.” And Doeg the Edomite turned and 22:18 This act of violence fulfilled the prophecy regarding the house of Eli (see 2:31).attacked the priests, and that day he killed eighty-five men who wore the [priest’s] linen ephod.

18So the king ordered Doeg, “You turn and strike down the priests!”

And Doeg the Edomite turned and struck down the priests himself. On that day he killed eighty-five men who wore the linen ephod.

18Then the king ordered Doeg, “You go and strike down the priests.” So Doeg, the Edomite, went and struck them down. That day he killed 85 priests who wore linen aprons.
