1 Samuel 26:9

9But David said to Abishai, “Don’t destroy him! Who can lay a hand on the Lord’s anointed and be guiltless?

9But David said to Abishai, “Do not 26:9 Lit destroykill him, for who can reach out with his hand against the Lord’s anointed and remain innocent?”

9But David said to Abishai, “Do not destroy him, for who can stretch out his hand against the Lord’s anointed and be without guilt?”

9But David said to Abishai, “Do not kill him, for who can put out his hand against the Lord’s anointed [king] and be guiltless (innocent)?”

9But David said to Abishai, “Do not destroy him, for who can extend a hand against the Lord’s anointed and be guiltless?”

9But David said to Abishai, “Don’t destroy him! No one can do any harm to the Lord’s anointed king and not be guilty.
