1 Samuel 8:6

6But when they said, “Give us a king to lead us,” this displeased Samuel; so he prayed to the Lord.

6But the matter was displeasing in the sight of Samuel when they said, “Give us a king to judge us.” And Samuel prayed to the Lord.

6But their demand displeased Samuel when they said, “Give us a king to judge and rule over us.” So Samuel prayed to the Lord.

6But when they said, “Give us a king to judge us,” their demand was displeasing in the sight of Samuel; so he prayed to the Lord.

6But the thing displeased Samuel, when they said, Give us a king to judge us. And Samuel prayed unto Jehovah.

6But the thing displeased Samuel, when they said, Giue vs a King to iudge vs: and Samuel prayed vnto the Lord.

6But the thing displeased Samuel when they said, “Give us a king to judge us.”

Samuel prayed to Yahweh.

6Samuel wasn’t pleased when they said, “Give us a king to lead us.” So he prayed to the Lord.

6When Israel's leaders said, ‘Choose a king who will lead us,’ Samuel was not happy. So he prayed to the Lord.

6And the thing is evil in the eyes of Samuel when they have said, “Give a king to us, to judge us”; and Samuel prays to YHWH.
