1 Thessalonians 2:6

6We were not looking for praise from people, not from you or anyone else, even though as apostles of Christ we could have asserted our authority.

6We were not expecting people to praise us. We were not looking for praise from you or anyone else. Yet as Christ’s apostles, we could have used our authority over you.
