1 Thessalonians 4:8

8Therefore, anyone who rejects this instruction does not reject a human being but God, the very God who gives you his Holy Spirit.

8Therefore, the one who rejects this is not rejecting man, but the God who gives His Holy Spirit to you.

8So whoever rejects and disregards this is not [merely] rejecting man but the God who gives His Holy Spirit to you [to dwell in you and empower you to overcome temptation].

8Anyone, then, who rejects this command does not reject man but God, the very One who gives you His Holy Spirit.

8Therefore he that rejecteth, rejecteth not man, but God, who giveth his Holy Spirit unto you.

8Hee therefore that despiseth these thinges, despiseth not man, but God who hath euen giuen you his holy Spirit.

8Therefore he who rejects this doesn’t reject man, but God, who has also given his Holy Spirit to you.

8Suppose someone refuses to accept our teaching. They are not turning their back on us. They are turning their back on God. This same God gives you his Holy Spirit.

8You should accept what I am saying. If not, it is not just human teaching that you refuse to obey. You are refusing to obey God himself. And God is the one who has given his Holy Spirit to you.

8He, therefore, who is despising, does not despise man, but God, who also gave His Holy Spirit to us.
