1 Timothy 5:1

1Do not rebuke an older man harshly, but exhort him as if he were your father. Treat younger men as brothers,

Treat younger men as brothers,

1Rebuke not an elder, but exhort him as a father; the younger men as brethren:

1Correct an older man in a way that shows respect. Make an appeal to him as if he were your father. Treat younger men as if they were your brothers.

1Do not speak strongly to an older man and tell him what he must do. Instead, ask him in a kind way, as you would speak to your father. Speak to younger men as you would speak to your brothers.
