2 Corinthians 4:7

7But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us.

7But we have this treasure in earthen containers, so that the extraordinary greatness of the power will be of God and not from ourselves;

7But we have this precious treasure [the good news about salvation] in [unworthy] earthen vessels [of human frailty], so that the grandeur and surpassing greatness of the power will be [shown to be] from God [His sufficiency] and not from ourselves.

7Now we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this surpassingly great power is from God and not from us.

7But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the exceeding greatness of the power may be of God, and not from ourselves;

7But we haue this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellencie of that power might be of God, and not of vs.

7But we have this treasure in clay vessels, that the exceeding greatness of the power may be of God and not from ourselves.

7Treasure is kept in clay jars. In the same way, we have the treasure of the good news in these earthly bodies of ours. That shows that the mighty power of the good news comes from God. It doesn’t come from us.

7God has given us the gift to speak his message. But we ourselves are very weak. It is like we are keeping his valuable gift in clay pots. So it is clear that the great power of God's message comes from God himself. It does not come from us.

7And we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellence of the power may be of God, and not of us,
