2 Kings 8:13

13Hazael said, “How could your servant, a mere dog, accomplish such a feat?”

“The Lord has shown me that you will become king of Aram,” answered Elisha.

13Then Hazael said, “But what is your servant—a lowly dog—that he could do this great thing?” And Elisha 8:13 Lit saidanswered, “The Lord has shown me that you will be king over Aram.”

13Then Hazael said, “But what is your servant, who is but a dog, that he should do this great thing?” And Elisha answered, “The Lord has shown me that you will be king over Aram.”

13Then Hazael said, “Surely not! For what is your servant, who is nothing more than a dog, that he would do this monstrous thing?” And Elisha answered, “The Lord has shown me that you will be king over Aram.”

13“But how could your servant, a mere dog, do such a monstrous thing?” said Hazael.

And Elisha answered, “The Lord has shown me that you will be king over Aram.”

13Hazael said, “How could I possibly do a thing like that? I’m nothing but a dog. I don’t have that kind of power.”

“You will become king of Aram,” Elisha answered. “That’s what the Lord has shown me.”
