2 Samuel 16:12

12It may be that the Lord will look upon my misery and restore to me his covenant blessing instead of his curse today.”

12Perhaps the Lord will look on my misery and return good to me instead of his cursing this day.”

12Perhaps the Lord will look on the wrong done to me [by Shimei, if he is acting on his own]; and [in that case perhaps] the Lord will this day return good to me in place of his cursing.”

12Perhaps the Lord will see my affliction and repay me with good for the cursing I receive today.”

12It may be that Jehovah will look on the wrong done unto me, and that Jehovah will requite me good for his cursing of me this day.

12It may be that the Lord will looke on mine affliction, and doe me good for his cursing this day.

12It may be that Yahweh will look on the wrong done to me, and that Yahweh will repay me good for the cursing of me today.”

12Maybe the Lord will see how much I’m suffering. Maybe he’ll bring back to me his covenant blessing instead of his curse I’m hearing today.”

12Perhaps the Lord will understand my trouble. He may see how Shimei is cursing me and he may bless me instead.’

12it may be YHWH looks on my affliction, and YHWH has turned back good to me for his reviling this day.”
