2 Timothy 2:25

25Opponents must be gently instructed, in the hope that God will grant them repentance leading them to a knowledge of the truth,

25with gentleness correcting those who are in opposition, if perhaps God may grant them repentance leading to the knowledge of the truth,

25He must correct those who are in opposition with courtesy and gentleness in the hope that God may grant that they will repent and be led to the knowledge of the truth [accurately understanding and welcoming it],

25He must gently reprove those who oppose him, in the hope that God may grant them repentance leading to a knowledge of the truth.

25in meekness correcting them that oppose themselves; if peradventure God may give them repentance unto the knowledge of the truth,

25Instructing them with meekenesse that are contrary minded, prouing if God at any time will giue them repentance, that they may acknowledge the trueth,

25in gentleness correcting those who oppose him. Perhaps God may give them repentance leading to a full knowledge of the truth,

25They must gently teach those who are against them. Maybe God will give a change of heart to those who are against you. That will lead them to know the truth.

25When people speak against God's true message, teach them carefully. Help them to understand what is right. Maybe God will change how they think so that they believe the true message.

25instructing those opposing in meekness—if perhaps God may give to them conversion to an acknowledging of the truth,
