Acts 11:8

8“I replied, ‘Surely not, Lord! Nothing impure or unclean has ever entered my mouth.’

8But I said, ‘By no means, Lord, for nothing 11:8 Or profane; lit commonunholy or unclean has ever entered my mouth.’

8But I said, ‘By no means, Lord, for nothing unholy or unclean has ever entered my mouth.’

8But I said, ‘Not at all, Lord; for nothing common (unholy) or [ceremonially] unclean has ever entered my mouth.’

8‘No, Lord,’ I said, ‘for nothing impure11:8 Literally common; similarly in verse 9 or unclean has ever entered my mouth.’

8“I replied, ‘No, Lord! I will not! Nothing that is not pure and “clean” has ever entered my mouth.’
