Colossians 1:5

5the faith and love that spring from the hope stored up for you in heaven and about which you have already heard in the true message of the gospel

5because of the hope reserved for you in heaven, of which you previously heard in the word of truth, the gospel

5because of the [confident] hope [of experiencing that] which is reserved and waiting for you in heaven. You previously heard of this hope in the message of truth, the gospel [regarding salvation]

5because of the hope which is laid up for you in the heavens, whereof ye heard before in the word of the truth of the gospel,

5For the hopes sake, which is laide vp for you in heauen, whereof yee haue heard before by the word of trueth, which is the Gospel,

5because of the hope which is laid up for you in the heavens, of which you heard before in the word of the truth of the Good News

5Your faith and love are based on the hope you have. What you hope for is stored up for you in heaven. You have already heard about it. You were told about it when the true message was given to you. I’m talking about the good news

5You live like that because you have a strong hope in God. You know that he has prepared good things for you and he is keeping them safe in heaven. You learned about this when people first told you God's true message, his good news.

5because of the hope that is laid up for you in the heavens, which you heard of beforehand by the word of the truth of the good news,
