Deuteronomy 14:1

1You are the children of the Lord your God. Do not cut yourselves or shave the front of your heads for the dead,

1“You are sons of the Lord your God; you shall not cut yourselves nor shave a bald spot above your forehead for the dead.

1You are the children of Yahweh your God. You shall not cut yourselves, nor make any baldness between your eyes for the dead.

1You are the children of the Lord your God. Don’t cut yourselves to honor the dead. Don’t shave the front of your heads to honor the dead.

1You are people who belong to the Lord your God. When someone dies, you are sad. But do not cut your bodies. Do not cut off all the hair from the front of your head.
