Deuteronomy 20:7

7Has anyone become pledged to a woman and not married her? Let him go home, or he may die in battle and someone else marry her.”

7And who is the man that is 20:7 A betrothed couple was considered legally married, but did not yet live togetherbetrothed to a woman and has not 20:7 Lit takenmarried her? Let him go and return to his house, otherwise he might die in the battle and another man would 20:7 Lit takemarry her.’

7And who is the man that is engaged to a woman and has not married her? Let him depart and return to his house, otherwise he might die in the battle and another man would marry her.’

7And who is the man who is engaged (legally promised) to a woman and has not married her? Let him go and return to his house, otherwise he might die in the battle and another man would marry her.’

7Has any man become pledged to a woman and not married her? Let him return home, or he may die in battle and another man marry her.”

7Has anyone promised to be married to a woman but hasn’t done it yet? Let him go home. If he doesn’t, he might die in battle. Then someone else will marry her.”
