Deuteronomy 26:5

5Then you shall declare before the Lord your God: “My father was a wandering Aramean, and he went down into Egypt with a few people and lived there and became a great nation, powerful and numerous.

5And you shall respond and say before the Lord your God, ‘My father was a 26:5 Or perishingwandering Aramean, and he went down to Egypt and 26:5 Or lived as a foreignerresided there, few in number; but there he became a great, mighty, and populous nation.

5You shall answer and say before the Lord your God, ‘My father was a wandering Aramean, and he went down to Egypt and sojourned there, few in number; but there he became a great, mighty and populous nation.

5And you shall say before the Lord your God, ‘My father [Jacob] was a wandering Aramean, and he [along with his family] went down to Egypt and 26:5 Lit sojourned.lived there [as strangers], few in number; but while there he became a great, mighty and populous nation.

5and you are to declare before the Lord your God, “My father was a wandering Aramean, and he went down to Egypt few in number and lived there and became a great nation, mighty and numerous.

5Then you will speak while the Lord is listening. You will say, “My father Jacob was a wanderer from the land of Aram. He went down into Egypt with a few people. He lived there and became the father of a great nation. It had huge numbers of people.
