Ephesians 4:1

1As a prisoner for the Lord, then, I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received.

1Therefore I, the prisoner of the Lord, urge you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling with which you have been called,

1So I, the prisoner for the Lord, appeal to you to live a life worthy of the calling to which you have been called [that is, to live a life that exhibits godly character, moral courage, personal integrity, and mature behavior—a life that expresses gratitude to God for your salvation],

1As a prisoner in the Lord, then, I urge you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling you have received:

1I therefore, the prisoner in the Lord, beseech you to walk worthily of the calling wherewith ye were called,

1I therefore, being prisoner in the Lord, praie you that yee walke worthie of the vocation whereunto yee are called,

1I therefore, the prisoner in the Lord, beg you to walk worthily of the calling with which you were called,

1I am a prisoner because of the Lord. So I am asking you to live a life worthy of what God chose you for.

1Because I serve the Lord, I am here in prison. I really want you to live as God's own people should live. God has called you to come to him. He has chosen you to be his own people.

1I, the prisoner of the Lord, then call on you to walk worthily of the calling with which you were called,
