Exodus 30:6

6Put the altar in front of the curtain that shields the ark of the covenant law—before the atonement cover that is over the tablets of the covenant law—where I will meet with you.

6You shall put 30:6 Lit itthis altar in front of the veil that is 30:6 Lit upon; or overnear the ark of the testimony, in front of the 30:6 Also called mercy seat; i.e., where blood was sprinkled on the Day of Atonementatoning cover that is over the ark of the testimony, where I will meet with you.

6You shall put this altar in front of the veil that is near the ark of the testimony, in front of the mercy seat that is over the ark of the testimony, where I will meet with you.

6You shall put the altar of incense [in the Holy Place] in front and outside of the veil that screens the ark of the 30:6 This is a reference to the two stone tablets inscribed by God that will be given to Moses (31:18).Testimony, before the mercy seat that is over the Testimony, where I will meet with you.

6Place the altar in front of the veil that is before the ark of the Testimony30:6 That is, the ark of the covenant; also in verse 26— before the mercy seat that is over the Testimony— where I will meet with you.

6Put the altar in front of the curtain that hangs in front of the ark. The ark is where the tablets of the covenant law are kept. The ark will have a cover. It will be the place where sin is paid for. There I will meet with you.
