Ezekiel 20:14

14But for the sake of my name I did what would keep it from being profaned in the eyes of the nations in whose sight I had brought them out.

14But I acted for the sake of My name, so that it would not be defiled before the eyes of the nations, before whose eyes I had brought them out.

14But I acted for My Name’s sake, that it would not be profaned in the sight of the [pagan] nations in whose sight I had brought them out [of slavery].

14But I acted for the sake of My name, so that it would not be profaned in the eyes of the nations in whose sight I had brought them out.

14But I wrought for my name’s sake, that it should not be profaned in the sight of the nations, in whose sight I brought them out.

14But I had respect to my Name, that it shoulde not bee polluted before the heathen in whose sight I brought them out.

14But I worked for my name’s sake, that it should not be profaned in the sight of the nations, in whose sight I brought them out.

14But I wanted my name to be honored. I kept it from being treated as if it were not holy. I did not want that to happen in front of the nations. They had seen me bring Israel out of Egypt.

14But I did not want the people of other nations to insult my name. They had seen me bring Israel's people out of Egypt.

14And I do [it] for My Name’s sake, || Not to defile [it] before the eyes of the nations, || Before whose eyes I brought them forth.
