1“ ‘When you allot the land as an inheritance, you are to present to the Lord a portion of the land as a sacred district, 25,000 cubits45:1 That is, about 8 miles or about 13 kilometers; also in verses 3, 5 and 6 long and 20,00045:1 Septuagint (see also verses 3 and 5 and 48:9); Hebrew 10,000 cubits45:1 That is, about 6 1/2 miles or about 11 kilometers wide; the entire area will be holy.
1“Now when you divide the land by lot for inheritance, you shall offer 45:1 Or a contributionan allotment to the Lord, a holy portion of the land; the length shall be a length of twenty-five thousand 45:1 Each of these cubits equals about 21 in. or 53 cmcubits, and the width shall be 45:1 As in LXX; MT 10,000twenty thousand. It shall be holy within its entire surrounding boundary.
1“And when you divide by lot the land for inheritance, you shall offer an allotment to the Lord, a holy portion of the land; the length shall be the length of 25,000 cubits, and the width shall be 20,000. It shall be holy within all its boundary round about.
1“Moreover, when you divide the land by lot for inheritance, you shall [set apart and] offer an allotment (contribution) to the Lord, a holy portion of the land [to be used for sacred purposes]. The length shall be 25,000 cubits, and the width shall be 20,000 cubits. It shall be holy (set apart for sacred use) within its every area. [Ezek 48:9, 12, 13]
1“When you divide the land by lot as an inheritance, you are to set aside a portion for the Lord, a holy portion of the land 25,000 cubits long and 20,000 cubits wide.45:1 LXX; the holy portion was to be approximately 8.3 miles long and 6.6 miles wide (13.3 kilometers long and 10.7 kilometers wide). Hebrew 25,000 cubits long and 10,000 wide. See also verses 3 and 5 and Ezekiel 48:9. This entire tract of land will be holy.
1“People of Israel, you will divide up the land you will receive. When you do, give me my share of it. It will be a sacred area. It will be eight miles long and six and a half miles wide. The entire area will be holy.
