8“Bordering the territory of Judah from east to west will be the portion you are to present as a special gift. It will be 25,000 cubits48:8 That is, about 8 miles or about 13 kilometers; also in verses 9, 10, 13, 15, 20 and 21 wide, and its length from east to west will equal one of the tribal portions; the sanctuary will be in the center of it.
8“And beside the border of Judah, from the east side to the west side, shall be the 48:8 Or contribution, and so throughout the challotment which you shall 48:8 Lit raiseset apart, twenty-five thousand 48:8 Each of these cubits equals about 21 in. or 53 cmcubits in width, and in length like one of the portions, from the east side to the west side; and the sanctuary shall be in the middle of it.

8Bordering the territory of Judah, from east to west, will be the portion you are to set apart. It will be 25,000 cubits wide,48:8 25,000 (long) cubits is approximately 8.3 miles or 13.3 kilometers; also in verses 9, 10, 13, 15, 20, and 21. and the length of a tribal portion from east to west. In the center will be the sanctuary.
8“You must give one share as a special gift to me. It will border the territory of Judah from east to west. It will be eight miles wide. It will be as long as the border of each of the territories of the tribes. Its border will run from east to west. The temple will be in the center of that strip of land.
