Galatians 3:2

2I would like to learn just one thing from you: Did you receive the Spirit by the works of the law, or by believing what you heard?

2This is the only thing I want to find out from you: did you receive the Spirit by works of the Law, or by hearing with faith?

2This is all I want to ask of you: did you receive the [Holy] Spirit as the result of obeying [the requirements of] the Law, or was it the result of hearing [the message of salvation and] with faith [believing it]?

2This only would I learn from you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?

2This only would I learne of you, Receiued ye the Spirit by the workes of the Lawe, or by the hearing of faith preached?

2I would like to learn just one thing from you. Did you receive the Holy Spirit by obeying the law? Or did you receive the Spirit by believing what you heard?

2I only want you to tell me one thing: When you received God's Spirit, was it because you had obeyed the rules of God's Law? No! You received God's Spirit because you believed the message about Christ.

2I only wish to learn this from you: did you receive the Spirit by works of the Law, or by the hearing of faith?
