Genesis 1:14

14Then God said, “Let there be 1:14 Or luminaries, light-bearers, and so throughout the chlights in the 1:14 Or firmament; i.e., atmosphere and spaceexpanse of the heavens to separate the day from the night, and they shall 1:14 Lit be forserve as signs and for seasons, and for days and years;

14Then God said, “Let there be lights in the expanse of the heavens to separate the day from the night, and let them be for signs and for seasons and for days and years;

14Then God said, “Let there be light-bearers (sun, moon, stars) in the expanse of the heavens to separate the day from the night, and let them be useful for signs (tokens) [of God’s provident care], and for marking seasons, days, and years; [Gen 8:22]

14And God said, “Let there be lights in the expanse of the sky to distinguish between the day and the night, and let them be signs to mark the seasons and days and years.

14God said, “Let there be lights in the huge space of the sky. Let them separate the day from the night. Let the lights set the times for the holy celebrations and the days and the years.
