Genesis 1:6

6Then God said, “Let there be 1:6 Or a firmament; i.e., atmosphere and spacean expanse in the midst of the waters, and let it separate the waters from the waters.”

6And God said, “Let there be an 1:6 Or a firmament.expanse [of the sky] in the midst of the waters, and let it separate the waters [below the expanse] from the waters [above the expanse].”

6And God said, “Let there be an expanse1:6 Or a canopy or a firmament or a vault; also in verses 7, 8, 14, 15, 17, and 20 between the waters, to separate the waters from the waters.”

6God said, “Let there be a huge space between the waters. Let it separate water from water.”
