1I will stand at my watch

and station myself on the ramparts;

I will look to see what he will say to me,

and what answer I am to give to this complaint.2:1 Or and what to answer when I am rebuked

1I will stand at my guard post

And station myself on the watchtower;

And I will keep watch to see what He will say to me,

And how I may reply 2:1 Lit upon my reprimandwhen I am reprimanded.

And how I may reply when I am reproved.

And station myself on the tower;

And I will keep watch to see what He will say to me,

And what answer I will give [as His spokesman] when I am reproved.
