Hebrews 7:28

28For the law appoints as high priests men in all their weakness; but the oath, which came after the law, appointed the Son, who has been made perfect forever.

28The law appoints as high priests men who are weak. But God’s promise came after the law. By his promise the Son was appointed. The Son has been made perfect forever.

28In the old covenant, Moses' laws decided who would become leaders of the priests. Because those men are weak, they often do wrong things. But God's strong promise came after the Law that he gave to Moses. With that promise, God chose his Son to be his great priest. And his Son has become everything that God wants him to be, completely and for ever.

28for the Law appoints men [as] chief priests, having weakness, but the word of the oath that [is] after the Law [appoints] the Son having been perfected throughout the age.
