Isaiah 4:4

4The Lord will wash away the filth of the women of Zion; he will cleanse the bloodstains from Jerusalem by a spirit4:4 Or the Spirit of judgment and a spirit4:4 Or the Spirit of fire.

4When the Lord has washed away the filth of the daughters of Zion and purged the bloodshed of Jerusalem from her midst, by the spirit of judgment and the spirit of burning,

4When the Lord has washed away the [moral] filth of the daughters of Zion and has cleansed the bloodstains of Jerusalem from her midst, by the spirit of judgment and by the spirit of burning,

4The Lord will wash away the sin of the women in Zion. He will clean up the blood that was spilled there. He will judge those who spilled that blood. His burning anger will blaze out at them.
