James 3:14

14But if you harbor bitter envy and selfish ambition in your hearts, do not boast about it or deny the truth.

14But if you have bitter jealousy and selfish ambition in your heart, do not be arrogant and so lie against the truth.

14But if you have bitter jealousy and selfish ambition in your hearts, do not be arrogant, and [as a result] be in defiance of the truth.

14But if ye have bitter jealousy and faction in your heart, glory not and lie not against the truth.

14But if ye haue bitter enuying and strife in your hearts, reioyce not, neither be liars against the trueth.

14But if you have bitter jealousy and selfish ambition in your heart, don’t boast and don’t lie against the truth.

14But suppose your hearts are jealous and bitter. Suppose you are concerned only about getting ahead. Then don’t brag about it. And don’t say no to the truth.

14But if you live in a bad way, do not think that you are wise. Are you jealous of other people so that you hate them? Do you want to make yourself important? If you live like that, do not say that you are great and wise. You are not saying what is true.

14yet, if you have bitter zeal, and rivalry in your heart, do not glory, nor lie against the truth;
