James 3:9

9With the tongue we praise our Lord and Father, and with it we curse human beings, who have been made in God’s likeness.

9With it we bless our Lord and Father, and with it we curse people, who have been made in the likeness of God;

9With it we bless our Lord and Father, and with it we curse men, who have been made in the likeness of God.

9With the tongue we bless our Lord and Father, and with it we curse men, who have been made in God’s likeness.

9Therewith bless we the Lord and Father; and therewith curse we men, who are made after the likeness of God:

9Therewith blesse we God euen the Father, and therewith curse we men, which are made after the similitude of God.

9With it we bless our God and Father, and with it we curse men who are made in the image of God.

9With our tongues we praise our Lord and Father. With our tongues we curse people. We do it even though people have been created to be like God.

9We use our tongue to praise the Lord God who is our Father. But then we use it to curse other people. That is wrong, because God made those people to be like himself.

9with it we bless the God and Father, and with it we curse the men made according to [the] likeness of God;
