12He thwarts the plans of the crafty,

so that their hands achieve no success.

12“He frustrates the schemes of the shrewd,

So that their hands cannot attain success.

12“He frustrates the devices and schemes of the crafty,

So that their hands cannot attain success or achieve anything of [lasting] worth.
