John 1:5

5The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.

5And the Light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not grasp it.

5The Light shines on in the darkness, and the darkness did not understand it or overpower it or appropriate it or absorb it [and is unreceptive to it]. [Gen 1:3]
