John 19:11

11Jesus answered, “You would have no power over me if it were not given to you from above. Therefore the one who handed me over to you is guilty of a greater sin.”

11Jesus answered him, “You would have no authority 19:11 Lit againstover Me at all, if it had not been given to you from above; for this reason the one who handed Me over to you has the greater sin.”

11Jesus answered, “You would have no authority over Me, unless it had been given you from above; for this reason he who delivered Me to you has the greater sin.”

11Jesus answered, “You would have no authority over Me at all if it had not been given to you from above. For this reason the sin and guilt of the 19:11 This may refer to Judas Iscariot, but Caiaphas may be the more likely one since he was directly responsible for Jesus’ going before Pilate.one who handed Me over to you is greater [than your own].”

11Jesus answered, “You were given power from heaven. If you weren’t, you would have no power over me. So the one who handed me over to you is guilty of a greater sin.”
