John 19:3

3and went up to him again and again, saying, “Hail, king of the Jews!” And they slapped him in the face.

3and they repeatedly came up to Him and said, “Hail, King of the Jews!” and slapped Him in the face again and again.

3and they began to come up to Him and say, “Hail, King of the Jews!” and to give Him slaps in the face.

3and they kept coming up to Him, saying [mockingly], “Hail, King of the Jews [Good health! Peace! Long life to you, King of the Jews]!” And they slapped Him in the face. [Is 53:3, 5, 7]
