Jonah 3:5

5The Ninevites believed God. A fast was proclaimed, and all of them, from the greatest to the least, put on sackcloth.

5Then the people of Nineveh believed in God; and they called a fast and put on sackcloth, from the greatest to the least of them.

5The people of Nineveh believed God’s warning. So they decided not to eat any food for a while. And all of them put on the rough clothing people wear when they’re sad. That’s what everyone did, from the least important of them to the most important.

5The people who lived in Nineveh believed God's message. They told everyone that they must not eat any food for several days. Everyone had to wear sackcloth to show that they were sorry. The most important people and the ordinary people all did that.

5And the men of Nineveh believe in God, and proclaim a fast, and put on sackcloth, from their greatest even to their least,
