Judges 8:33

33No sooner had Gideon died than the Israelites again prostituted themselves to the Baals. They set up Baal-Berith as their god

33Then it came about, as soon as Gideon was dead, that the sons of Israel again 8:33 I.e., against Godcommitted infidelity with the Baals, and made Baal-berith their god.

33As soon as Gideon had died, the Israelites began serving and worshiping gods that were named Baal. Israel wasn’t faithful to the Lord. They worshiped Baal-Berith as their god.
