22Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed,

for his compassions never fail.

22 The Lord’s acts of mercy indeed do not end,

For His compassions do not fail.

22The Lord’s lovingkindnesses indeed never cease,

For His compassions never fail.

22It is because of the Lord’s lovingkindnesses that we are not consumed,

Because His [tender] compassions never fail. [Mal 3:6]

22Because of the loving devotion of the Lord we are not consumed,

for His mercies never fail.

22The Lord loves us very much.

So we haven’t been completely destroyed.

His loving concern never fails.
