Leviticus 18:27

27for all these things were done by the people who lived in the land before you, and the land became defiled.

27(for the people of the land who were there before you did all these abominations, and the land has become defiled),

27(for the men of the land who have been before you have done all these abominations, and the land has become defiled);

27(for all these repulsive acts have been done by the men who lived in the land before you, and the land has become defiled);

27For the men who were in the land before you committed all these abominations, and the land has become defiled.

27All these things were done by the people who lived in the land before you. That is how the land became “unclean.”
