Leviticus 19:16

16“ ‘Do not go about spreading slander among your people.

“ ‘Do not do anything that endangers your neighbor’s life. I am the Lord.

16You shall not go about as a slanderer among your people; and you are not to jeopardize the life of your neighbor. I am the Lord.

16You shall not go around as a gossip among your people, and you are not to act against the life of your neighbor [with slander or false testimony]; I am the Lord.

16You must not go about spreading slander among your people.

You must not endanger the life of your neighbor. I am the Lord.

16Thou shalt not go up and down as a talebearer among thy people: neither shalt thou stand against the blood of thy neighbor: I am Jehovah.

16Thou shalt not walke about with tales among thy people. Thou shalt not stand against the blood of thy neighbour: I am the Lord.

16“‘You shall not go around as a slanderer among your people.

“‘You shall not endanger the life of your neighbor. I am Yahweh.

16“ ‘Do not go around spreading lies among your people.

“ ‘Do not do anything that puts your neighbor’s life in danger. I am the Lord.

16Do not say bad things about anyone for other people to hear. If somebody is in danger of death, speak the truth to help them if you can. Do not keep quiet. I am the Lord.

16You do not go slandering among your people; you do not stand against the blood of your neighbor; I [am] YHWH.
