Leviticus 20:4

4If the members of the community close their eyes when that man sacrifices one of his children to Molek and if they fail to put him to death,

4If the people of the land, however, 20:4 Lit hiding they hide their eyes fromshould ever disregard that man when he gives any of his 20:4 Lit seedchildren to Molech, so as not to put him to death,

4If the people of the land, however, should ever disregard that man when he gives any of his offspring to Molech, so as not to put him to death,

4If the people of the land should ever tolerate that man when he gives any of his children [as a burnt offering] to Molech, and fail to put him to death [as My law requires],

4And if the people of the land ever hide their eyes and fail to put to death the man who gives one of his children to Molech,

4Suppose the members of the community act like they don’t know that the man has sacrificed his child to Molek. And suppose they don’t put him to death.
