Leviticus 23:27

27“The tenth day of this seventh month is the Day of Atonement. Hold a sacred assembly and deny yourselves,23:27 Or and fast; similarly in verses 29 and 32 and present a food offering to the Lord.

27“On exactly the tenth day of this seventh month is the Day of Atonement; it shall be a holy convocation for you, and you shall humble 23:27 Lit your soulsyourselves and present an offering by fire to the Lord.

27“The tenth day of the seventh month is the day when sin is paid for. Come together for a special service. Do not eat any food. Bring a food offering to the Lord.
